My Fav. Eateries

Dear All,

So here it goes the new post. It is going to be on the my favorite eateries out there in Chennai. Well it is tough to write down all so i chose the best 10. This list as goes

10. Saravana Bhavan - Mylapore: The saravana bhavan the old and most authentic veg. restaurant i ever knew. The mylapore branch is comparatively big. This is one hotel that is affordable and  has a good environment. My fav dish there is Sambhar rice with banana chips.

9.  Adyar Anandha Bhavan - This is another authentic veg. restaurant in Chennai. With so many branches my fav. is my very own Triplicane. Despite the rude and arrogant waiters the taste of this hotel's dishes make my mouth water. Even the aroma makes me mouth water and my fav. dish here is the Ghee masala dosa.

8. ID : ) - This one started first at satyam cinemas has tasty idlies and dosas and few other south indian tiffin varieties too. My fav items are rava idli and masala dosa :)

7. Subway - Although this is a big chain of food outlets all over the country, I include it here since modern food like these are part and parcel of our day to day life. The subway food is healthy as well as fast to deliver. My fav sub is paneer tikka in multigrain with all veggies, mayonnaise and mint mayonnaise sauce. I like the one in EA

6.  Pizza Hut - Despite so many pizza huts i like the one at spencer plaza. Pizza just the name is sufficient no more description is required.

5. Ratna Cafe - The only hotel in my area when i was a kid. However the one in my area is no more can be branded as a restaurant. Now I like the velachery branch. The fav. food there being the traditional Idly Sambhar (Mouth watering). No hotel can beat that.

4. Olives Restaurant (The Deccan Plaza) - The buffet lunch restaurant at The Deccan plaza change their menu every month at times week and they give so many varieties like Rural Repast, Punjabi Tadka, etc.

3. McDonalds: Although we go on campaigns saying french fries, burger, coke are unhealthy junk still once in a while eating in these especially with kids are awesome thing to do. Especially the desserts, even at 22 ice creams make me kid.

2. Ras Bhojan - This north indian restaurant at Mogappair is unbeatable for the north indian style food. Even the chaats available here are tasty, affordable and authentic.

1. Rajdhani - And the first position goes to Rajdhani - ek khandaani parampara is an awesome gujarati - rajastani veg thali restaurant. Although a little expensive the taste and varieties deserve the cost.

Since I am a north indian food maniac and vegetarian my list is prioritized based on that..Try in these hotels :)

Cheers,
Tanya
